Overview

In your role as an Activities Co-ordinator at HC-One, kindness is central to all care across Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist settings. You will plan and implement activities that delight Residents, support fundraising events, and collaborate with the Home Manager and care team to involve residents in meaningful activity with a focus on kindness and inclusion.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement activities that engage Residents and support their social participation.
  • Assist the Home Manager to organise essential fundraising events.
  • Encourage teamwork and involve the care home staff in activity ideas based on Residents  hobbies.
  • Communicate with Residents and co-workers with consideration and kindness.
  • Support safeguarding practices; recognise signs of potential abuse, harm or neglect and know the steps to take, including escalation when needed.
  • Engage with digital care planning initiatives and use technology to streamline tasks; support will be provided for learning as required.
Qualifications
  • Experience with vulnerable individuals or in activity programming is preferred; strong planning, organisational and IT skills are required.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and communicate empathetically with Residents and colleagues.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and willingness to undertake required training.
  • Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available).
