Sleep Service Level 4 Apprentice
University Hospitals of North Midlands is currently unable to provide sponsorship for this role. This is in accordance with UKVI guidelines and legislation, as these roles do not meet the skill nor salary threshold for sponsorship. If you hold a graduate visa, you are welcome to apply for this role however it is important to note that UHNM will be unable to offer sponsorship at the end of your graduate visa, you must also have at least six months until your graduate visa expires at the start of your employment for training and operational reasons.
An exciting opportunity has become available for an aspiring healthcare scientist wishing to train in the speciality of Sleep Physiology. The post holder will undertake a 24‑month training programme as a healthcare scientist level 4 apprentice within the University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust. Formal training will be given to develop the skill and knowledge applied to sleep physiology. Study will take place in partnership with a college provider.
This is a full‑time post and there is an expectation that the apprentice will need to commit to self‑directed study, attend college virtually and in person, and successfully complete the training programme within the contracted period.
Main duties of the jobThe post holder will undertake a 24‑month training programme as a Healthcare Science Level 4 Apprentice. Formal training will be given where the successful candidate can learn and develop skills and knowledge relating to working in a sleep physiology service performing diagnostic testing as well as CPAP therapy initiation. Study will take place in partnership with an appropriate provider.

Person Specification Essential Qualifications- 5 GCSE's 9‑4 (A*‑C) or equivalent academic qualifications – must include Maths, English, and Science
