Overview

Spire Leicester Hospital seeks an experienced Pharmacist to serve as Deputy Pharmacy Manager on a 12‑month fixed‑term, part‑time (30 hours per week) contract beginning September 2026.

• Support the organisation, management and development of the clinical pharmacy service at Spire Leicester Hospital.
• Provide clinical pharmacy input across a range of specialties, ensuring safe and effective use of medicines.
• Work closely with consultants, nurses and other healthcare professionals to optimise patient care.
• Support the Pharmacy Manager in the day‑to‑day running of the department.
• Contribute to clinical governance, medicines management and service improvement initiatives.
• Assist in the supervision and development of pharmacy colleagues.

• Pharmacy degree.
• Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• Extensive post‑registration experience.
• Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of hospital pharmacy practice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Previous management or supervisory experience.
• Good IT skills.
