BANK*- Peripatetic Trainer-Sonographer Ultrasound

Sessional basis – £44 per hour

Flexible hours/sessions available 7 days a week (8:30 am – 8:00 pm) across Royal Stoke, County Stafford, and Haywood Community Hospital.

We are looking to recruit highly motivated, dynamic and professional individuals to join our well-established team of banked Advanced Practitioner Sonographers.

You should hold a case-accredited PgC, PgD or MSc in non-obstetric ultrasound and have broad experience working independently within the NHS.

• General Medical: upper abdominal/KUB
• Small parts: testes / head and neck
• Gynaecology
• Vascular
• Lower limb vein scanning for DVT / Carotid scanning

The ultrasound department provides both obstetric and general medical scanning services, managed and supported operationally from the Royal Stoke. Services are provided from both sites and multiple smaller community units. The successful candidate will deliver routine antenatal screening, support early pregnancy and fetal assessment units, specialist antenatal and gynaecological clinics, and general ultrasound scanning for outpatient and acute inpatient departments.

7 day service including bank holidays on a rotational basis. Competitive sessional rate of £44 per hour.
