More than customer service - you’ll shape the entire EyeC experience.
EyeC Opticians is an independent, optometrist-led practice with a clear ambition: to provide an exceptionally personal, thoughtful and hospitable optical experience.
We’re looking for a warm, confident and commercially minded Patient Experience Advisor who can make every patient feel genuinely seen, heard and looked after.
You’ll help manage the complete patient journey - from the first telephone call and welcome into the practice through to clinical pre-screening, choosing eyewear and providing attentive aftercare.
What you’ll be doing:
- Creating a warm, polished and memorable welcome for every patient
- Managing appointments, telephone calls, messages and patient enquiries
- Carrying out patient pre-screening and diagnostic measurements, including OCT scans, with full training provided
- Building genuine relationships and understanding each patient’s individual needs
- Helping patients choose eyewear suited to their appearance, lifestyle and budget
- Confidently explaining our products, services and eyewear options
- Supporting the team to achieve its service and commercial goals
- Following up with patients and keeping them informed throughout their journey
- Maintaining accurate patient records and completing general practice administration
- Ensuring the practice and eyewear displays remain beautifully presented and organised
- Supporting our optometrist and dispensing team throughout the patient journey
Who we’re looking for:
You don’t necessarily need previous optical experience. We’re more interested in your attitude, standards and ability to connect with people.
You may currently work in premium retail, hospitality, beauty, jewellery, healthcare or another customer-facing environment.
You’ll be someone who:
- Builds rapport naturally and enjoys getting to know people
- Is commercially aware and comfortable recommending products
- Communicates confidently in person, over the telephone and in writing
- Notices the small details that can transform someone’s experience
- Is organised, reliable and takes ownership of their responsibilities
- Remains calm and professional in a busy environment
- Works well as part of a close-knit team
- Is eager to learn about eyewear, lenses and eye care
Previous experience in optics or eyewear would be welcomed, but full training can be provided to the right person.
