To provide assessment, diagnosis and appropriate SALT intervention in collaboration with the clients, their carers, and other professionals to respond to episodes of challenging behaviour/crisis intervention. Demonstrate the clear and effective use of outcome measures for all clients To manage their own time and have an ability to prioritise tasks with minimal support To identify the need for clinical support and advice and seek this from more senior clinicians as appropriate in order to provide a high-quality service.
To work closely with all appropriate agencies and colleagues for exchange of information and to ensure the comprehensive management of the client, as advised by a designated supervisor and / or more senior clinician. To provide appropriate information, advice and support to clients and their carers, demonstrating empathy and ensuring that effective communication is achieved where barriers to understanding exist.
Produce, disseminate and update reports and guidelines using a range of media software and to ensure that these are accessible to people with learning disabilities and their carers, ensuring that all reasonable adjustments have been made and take account of peoples culture and language e.g. Change, Widget, Board maker, Publisher, Makaton, BSL and the Trusts Interpretation and translation service etc.
