We have an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic and dedicated Pharmacy Technicians to join our friendly pharmacy team on a bank contract.
Main duties of the jobAs one of the team of Rotational Pharmacy Technicians you will have the opportunity to gain experience including the following and much more:
- Dispensing controlled drugs using electronic registers from automated storage cabinets
- Gaining experience in IT Systems including Ascribe, Omnicell cabinets& Prescription Tracking
- Maintaining good stock control of medicines
- Medicines optimisation on wards
- Supporting and training staff
You must be a team player with the ability to work flexibly and react positively to change. Essential skills include an eye for detail, high level of accuracy and knowing the limitations of the role. You must be able to follow written procedures, work under supervision and complete tasks accurately to set deadlines.

Person specification Qualifications- NVQ level 3 in Pharmaceutical Services or National BTEC in Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent nationally recognised qualification plus Accredited underpinning knowledge
- Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council
- National Accredited Checking Technician (ACT) qualification or requirement to undertake the training
- Expert Witness/A1 NVQ Assessor Qualification or willing to undertake
- Member of the Association of Pharmacy Technicians
- Minimum 1 year recent experience in either a hospital pharmacy or community pharmacy setting.
