We are thrilled to present an exciting opportunity for a Band 6/7 Mammographer within Imaging and Radiology in Stoke-on-Trent. What you will do:
  • Deliver high-quality breast screening mammography across multiple locations on a rotational basis.
  • Assume responsibility for mammography services while working independently or alongside an Assistant Practitioner.
  • Conduct and oversee QA tasks, ensuring that imaging standards remain consistently high.
  • Maintain a professional demeanour and demonstrate accountability for all tasks undertaken.
  • Cultivate a consistent and reliable attendance record.
Responsibilities/general duties:
  • Provide essential breast screening services without assessment work.
  • Confidently handle and process QA tasks.
  • Adjust schedules as per rotational coverage demands, operating in line with best practices.
  • Maintain strong professional accountability and demonstrate low TR/TP rates.
  • Interact with patients to provide not just technical expertise, but a comforting and supportive environment.
Requirements:
  • HCPC-registered Radiographer with a valid mammography qualification.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in breast screening.
  • Ownership of a full driving licence is preferable.
  • Proven track record of low TR/TP rates, reflecting reliability and quality of service.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
