Job summary
We are looking to recruit Paediatric Nursing Assistants to join our busy Paediatric team here at Queen Victoria Hospital to help to provide high
-quality compassionate care for children and their families.
As part of our paediatric team you will be involved in the care of children with minor burn injuries and of children admitted for day surgery procedures.
You will meet and welcome our patients, admit patients to the ward, offer comfort and support to our patients and their families. You will accompany children to the theatre for their operations, comforting their parents alongside the child's care.
You will be involved in distraction and play activities.
You will under supervision monitor a patient through their recovery prior to discharge.
You will use technology to admit patients onto our systems and for booking further appointments.
You will be involved in many elements of children's nursing and surgical care.
You will be involved in continuous quality improvement projects
You will be involved in our paediatric out patient clinics, including phlebotomy, pre-assessment, burn and wound care.
Your role will include the many aspects of HCA work including house keeping and ward preparation, notes and documentation, food preparation and team working.

Chief Nursing Officer 1. Job Summary 1.1 The Clinical Support Worker;
Higher Level will work as part of the team with minimal supervision of registered practitioners to provide effective and safe patient centred care with the additional responsibility of undertaking a range of delegated clinical care duties, such as basic observations, blood glucose monitoring, phlebotomy. 1.2 Contribute to the development of the care environment with a positive, professional attitude. 1.3 Contribute to the maintenance of daily provision of service and care to meet the individual needs of patients and department.
