Technical Instructor

Clinical simulation is central to preparing our healthcare students for professional practice. We are looking for an experienced Technical Instructor to help us deliver high-quality, safe and reliable simulation-based learning.

The main responsibilities for our Technical Instructor will be to provide expert technical support across our clinical skills and simulation facilities on the Stoke campus. You will set up, operate and maintain patient simulators and immersive environments, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure clinical skills equipment is optimised and ready for teaching. You will also deliver technical training for staff and students and contribute to projects such as lab upgrades and major equipment replacement.

You will work closely with academic colleagues to understand their needs and provide practical, solution-focused advice. Strong troubleshooting skills, sound knowledge of health and safety, and experience in a clinical simulation or comparable technical setting are essential.
