Senior P&C Underwriter

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Underwriter to join at Senior level within a high-performing underwriting team. You'll take ownership of a diverse cross-class commercial portfolio, manage key broker relationships, and act as a technical referral point for the wider team, handling the larger, more complex risks that require real underwriting expertise.

• Underwrite a range of mid-market and complex commercial risks across multiple classes of business
• Build and actively develop a panel of broker relationships, growing income and maximising retention
• Act as a referral point and technical resource for colleagues on complex or high-value cases
• Collaborate closely with the underwriting team on large, multi-line accounts
• Work towards and contribute to both personal and team new business targets
• Represent the business at broker events, networking functions, and industry forums

• Solid commercial underwriting experience, ideally across multiple classes
• Strong working knowledge of the UK commercial insurance market and broker landscape
• Proven ability to manage and develop broker relationships at a senior level
• Track record of delivering against financial targets
• CII qualified (or working towards) preferred but not essential
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills
