Role OverviewWelsh Language Translator to support our services and campaigns by translating website content and strengthening our Active Welsh Offer.

Key Responsibilities- Provide a professional translation and proofreading service to the highest standard in Welsh/English for Citizens Advice’s website.
- Translate advice content from English to Welsh and upload it onto the website using a content management system.
- Manage your own day‑to‑day activities to deliver tasks on time and to the required standard while gaining experience and expertise in all areas of the Welsh language.
- Develop a strong and collaborative working relationship with the content team and Wales team at Citizens Advice.
- Collaborate closely with the Content team and the Wales team to ensure website content is translated to a consistently high quality, boosting our bilingual identity.
- Darparu gwasanaeth cyfieithu a phrawfddarllen proffesiynol i’r safon uchaf yn y Gymraeg/Saesneg ar gyfer gwefan Cyngor ar Bopeth.
- Cyfieithu cynnwys cynghori o'r Saesneg i'r Gymraeg a'i uwchlwytho i wefan Cyngor ar Bopeth gan ddefnyddio system rheoli cynnwys.
- Rheoli eich gweithgareddau dyddiol eich hun er mwyn cyflawni tasgau ar amser ac i'r safon ofynnol wrth ennill profiad ac arbenigedd ym mhob agwedd ar yr iaith Gymraeg.
- Datblygu perthynas waith gref a chydweithredol gyda'r tîm cynnwys a thîm Cymru yn Cyngor ar Bopeth.
If you're passionate about language and want to make a meaningful impact with your skills, submit an anonymous CV and cover letter outlining how you meet the following criteria:
- Unquestionable ability to communicate effectively and accurately in Welsh and English, orally and in writing, with a wide variety of audiences and at all levels.
- Translation and proofreading skills of the highest standard. Good understanding of how to translate documents to suit a specific audience (e.g. service users, advisers, staff, internal/external stakeholders).
- An understanding of online content management systems. Able to edit, review and publish website content (or willingness to upskill).
- Unquestionable ability to communicate effectively and accurately in Welsh and English, orally and in writing, with a wide variety of audiences and at all levels.
- Sgiliau cyfieithu a phrawfdarllen o’r safon uchaf. Dealltwriaeth dda sut i gyfieithu dogfennau ar gyfer cynulleidfa benodol (er enghraifft defnyddwyr gwasanaeth, cynghorwyr, staff, rhanddeiliaid mewnol/allanol).
