The Shift Coordinator position in Stoke-on-Trent involves overseeing daily operations at a major Royal Mail parcel hub during the seasonal peak. This full-time, temporary contract runs from mid-September through December, offering hourly pay between £13.85 and £15.50 depending on shift selection. Three patterns are available: early (05:30-14:30), late (13:30-22:30), or night (21:30-06:30). Working alongside hub management, you will coordinate temporary staff, ensure adequate coverage, provide on-site support, and maintain safety standards throughout each shift.
Strong organisational abilities, clear communication, and a practical approach to problem-solving are essential. This role suits someone comfortable supervising others and adapting to fluctuating workloads within a substantial logistical operation.

Join One of the UK's Largest Peak Operations Pertemps is recruiting Seasonal Shift Coordinators to support the delivery of one of Royal Mail's busiest parcel operations during the Christmas peak. Working alongside the Hub Management Team, you'll help coordinate a large temporary workforce, ensuring every shift is fully staffed, workers are supported throughout their assignment, and the operation runs safely and efficiently.

- Managing the attendance of temporary workers.
- Signing workers in and out each shift.
- Managing no-shows, lateness and absence.
- Contacting replacement workers to maintain staffing levels.
- Supporting new starters and ensuring they settle into their roles.
- Carrying out regular welfare checks with temporary workers.
- Supporting payroll by ensuring attendance records are accurate.
- Completing shift reports and communicating key updates during handovers.
- Helping to deliver workforce targets across a 24/7 operation.
- Have excellent communication and people skills.
- Enjoy working in a busy, fast-moving environment.
- Can remain calm under pressure.
- Are proactive and enjoy solving problems.
- Can work independent while being part of a wider team.
Experience in any of the following would be beneficial:

Full training will be provided.
