Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Valeter to join our Motor store in Stoke. As an Arnold Clark Valeter, you will be responsible for ensuring all our vehicles are presented in sparkling condition.

• Clean sold and stock vehicles to a high standard.
• Clean vehicles externally with a high-powered pressure washer.
• Use a high-powered vacuum to clean and shampoo vehicle interiors.
• Work with a polishing/buffing machine to enhance bodywork.
• Comply with health and safety procedures while working with chemicals.
• Ensure all equipment and machinery is properly maintained and secure, and report any defects in accordance with manufacturers' instructions and PPE recommendations.
• Set time frames and targets, and work within them.
• Use an online diary system to manage vehicle schedule.
• Complete a daily record of work completed.
• Support the branch with other duties as required.
• Attend the Valet Academy training programme (mandatory for all new staff).

• Full UK driving licence.
• Basic computer skills.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Self‑motivation and ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to multi‑task.
• Willingness to participate in training programmes.
• Valet experience is preferred but not essential; training can be provided for candidates who demonstrate high enthusiasm and meet the above criteria.

• Monday – Thursday: 8am – 5.30pm
• Friday: 8am – 4.30pm
• Alternate Saturdays: 8am – 12pm
