DNA Recruitment Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Cargo Screener / X-Ray Operator to join a well-established airfreight logistics operation based in Cheadle, Cheshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Cargo Screener looking for a long-term position with the opportunity to transfer onto a permanent contract following a successful temporary period.

You will be responsible for the security screening of air cargo using X-ray screening equipment, ensuring all freight is screened safely, accurately and in line with aviation security procedures.

• Operating X-ray screening equipment
• Interpreting X-ray images and identifying prohibited or suspicious items
• Following procedures where cargo cannot be cleared during initial screening
• Maintaining accurate screening records and security documentation
• Carrying out pre-use and operational equipment checks
• Reporting faults, security concerns and irregularities
• Working closely with warehouse and operational teams
• Maintaining a secure, clean and organised screening area
• Supporting other warehouse duties when required

Previous Cargo Screener / X-Ray Operator experience is Desireable however experience within airfreight, aviation or a regulated warehouse environment would be advantageous.

• £14.25 per hour
• 4 on / 4 off day shift pattern
• 07:00-19:00 | 12-hour shifts
• Regular overtime available - 1+ additional shift per week
• Overtime opportunity can increase annual earnings by approximately £8,150
