Property Clearance & Cleaning Operative

Location: Stoke-On-Trent

We're recruiting for a permanent Property Clearance & Cleaning Operative to join an established business working across fire and flood-damaged properties, you will be fully on the road, however you must be commutable to either Bury or Preston to start work at 7am This is not a light cleaning job ., it will require physical work, heavy lifting and getting your hands dirty.

Some days you'll be clearing and cleaning a property following a relatively minor flood. On others, you could be walking into a badly fire-damaged property that needs stripping and clearing from top to bottom. What will you be doing? Working as part of a team, you'll travel to properties affected by fires, floods and other major incidents. Depending on the job, you'll be:
Clearing damaged properties Removing furniture, contents and materials Heavy lifting and manual handling Cleaning fire and flood-affected areas Stripping out damaged contents and materials Loading and unloading vehicles Separating items that can be restored from those that need disposing of Taking salvageable items back for cleaning/restoration Keeping work areas safe and organised Supporting the wider team to get each job completed Every job is different, and that's part of the appeal.

Who are we looking for? We're much more interested in finding somebody with the right attitude and work ethic . Your background could be in:
Removals | House Clearance | Demolition | Strip-Out | Construction Labouring | Groundworks | Waste & Recycling | Commercial Cleaning | Furniture Delivery | Property Maintenance You need to be comfortable with hard physical work and understand that some of the properties you'll enter will be in a very poor condition. You'll also need to be reliable. You're part of a team, so people need to know you'll turn up, get stuck in and do your share.

A full UK driving licence is required. The Hours The team generally starts at around 7:00am , with the working day typically finishing around 3:00pm , although this can vary depending on the job. You'll meet the team, travel out together in company vehicles and complete the planned job for that day. There may occasionally be weekend work depending on operational requirements.
