Overview
Equans is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our team on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to play a pivotal role in supporting our Projects Team to drive opportunity, integrate project delivery with the HMCTS account, and serve as the single point of contact for escalation and project management excellence. This senior position is vital for building and converting a strong business pipeline, taking ownership of complex or at-risk projects, and leading national programmes of minor works.
As Senior Project Manager, you'll manage and mentor a team of Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers, ensuring high standards, commercial success, and compliance with Financial, SHEQ, and technical industry requirements. You'll foster robust relationships with clients and internal teams, reporting directly to the Senior Project Director. Travel across the UK is required.
What will you deliver?- Establish strong, effective integration between project function and HMCTS account to maximise operational opportunity and revenue.
- Serve as the single point of contact/escalation for project-related matters, resolving challenges and protecting commercial and SHEQ interests.
- Build and convert pipeline opportunities in the HMCTS and MOJ CAPEX project space, supporting annual financial targets.
- Take ownership of challenging or failing projects, mitigating risks through proactive management and leadership.
- Lead, manage, and develop a team delivering high-volume, low-value national programmes of works (Minor Works).
- Deliver accurate reporting to the business and clients, covering financials, programme status, and key project data.
- Liaise with Equans Facilities Management and clients to identify and build new portfolios of minor works/programmes.
- Generate new business by leveraging sustainability, innovation, and emerging technologies in project solutions.
- Lead sales processes from solutions development through presentations and consultation meetings.
- Ensure all projects are managed to contract terms, statutory regulations, QSHE standards, and technical industry requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships, demonstrating Equans' project delivery capabilities.
- Engage supply partners to promote innovation for client benefit.
- Provide business communication and direct input to management and client meetings, briefings, reporting, and consultation forums.
- Work closely with Project Director, Commercial, and Head of Projects to align new opportunities and resource planning.

- Project management methodology
- Broad understanding of construction Health and Safety law and legislation
- Understanding of general financial terminology
- Proven project management experience in either an M&E, FM, construction or critical environment
- Previous experience of developing new project opportunities
- Able to travel across the UK as the needs of the role requires
- Due to the nature of the contract, successful postholder will be required to obtain and maintain security vetting which includes a criminal records check
