About the RoleAs our Fleet Manager, you will lead the day‑to‑day performance and long‑term development of our company fleet. You’ll ensure our vehicles are safe, compliant, cost‑effective, and meet the needs of our services across the UK. You’ll manage a team of Fleet Support Specialists and work closely with Procurement, Operations, Health & Safety, HR, and Sustainability to deliver a modern, efficient and well‑managed fleet.
This role combines operational leadership, supplier management, compliance oversight and strategic planning — perfect for someone who enjoys both detailed management and big‑picture thinking.
- Lead and develop the fleet team to deliver a responsive and efficient service.
- Manage the daily workflow of the fleet inbox, vehicle movements, and mileage reviews.
- Oversee procurement of new vehicles, contract negotiations, and supplier performance.
- Maintain full compliance across the fleet — including insurance, MOT, tax, licence checks and telematics policies.
- Drive fleet safety initiatives, including monitoring driver behaviour and FNOL analysis.
- Control maintenance, repair costs and vehicle downtime.
- Support the electrification strategy, including EV charger installations.
- Produce regular performance reports and drive improvements through data and insights.
- Lead fleet budgeting and forecasting.
- 3+ years’ experience in fleet management (essential)
- Strong people management experience
- Excellent knowledge of fleet legislation, compliance and industry trends
- Confident in data analysis, decision‑making and process improvement
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Project management expertise (essential); change management desirable
- Ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and operational teams
- A proactive leader who can drive continual improvement and safety culture
