Warehouse First Line Manager

Are you a proven leader who thrives in a warehouse environment? Does motivating and developing a team come naturally to you? Would you like to put this experience to use with an ambitious and growing operation? Yes? Then you’re in the right place.

We are looking for a Warehouse First Line Manager to join our Dunelm site in Stoke. You’ll be responsible for leading your team to achieve business goals through a focus on continuous improvement and a team‑based culture.

This is a full‑time, permanent position working an ‘any 5 from 7’ day shift pattern, the hours of work will be 14:00 – 22:00.

Pay:
Up to £30,000 per annum.

What you’ll do on a typical day
  • Take full responsibility for the day‑to‑day running of the warehouse in your area, leading, motivating and developing your team to achieve targets.
  • Pro‑actively support the site and customer’s continuous improvement initiatives, acting as an advocate on site for cultural change.
  • With a good understanding of Health & Safety make sure all operational processes are fully compliant with our policies, while accurately identifying risks and escalating findings.
  • Effectively communicate with all stakeholders to fully understand customer and company requirements, incorporating them into planning and reporting tools, activities and projects.
What you need to succeed at GXO
  • A proven track record as a team leader/first line manager within a fast‑paced warehouse environment.
  • The ability to effectively lead, develop and manage a team whilst identifying areas for development and recognising success.
  • Adaptability when working in a rapidly changing and fast‑paced environment.
