Assistant Manager

Position Overview

Assistant Manager – Full Time – 43 hours per week across 5 days for our shop in Hanley, Staffordshire. Salary £31,449.60 to £32,648.16 per annum on a 43‑hour contract.

• Work closely with the shop manager to run an efficient shop and provide a great service to our customers.
• Be responsible for the development of your team of retail assistants through coaching, mentoring and providing feedback.
• Be accountable for the shop in the absence of the shop manager and ensure customers are looked after, deliveries are worked quickly and shop routines are completed to maintain a safe, clean and tidy shop.
• Take responsibility for motivating and guiding your team to ensure the control of operational costs, including shrinkage, waste and payroll.
• Support the shop manager with recruitment and induction of new team members.

• Trustworthy and reliable, as you will be an important part of a small team that the customers and team depend upon to deliver excellent service.
• Some experience as a manager, team leader or supervisor.
• To complete a Basic DBS check (England/Wales) or Disclosure Scotland check (Scotland).
