Regional Manager (Children's Residential)

Location: North West England (with travel across the region)
Salary: Up to £65,000 per annum + annual performance bonus

Successful Candidates Will Have
  • A minimum of 5 years' leadership experience within residential childcare.
  • Proven multi-site management experience with a track record of improving services and achieving positive outcomes for children and young people.
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
  • Level 5 Leadership & Management qualification (or willingness to complete).
  • Extensive experience in staff leadership, performance management and financial management.
  • In-depth knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
  • Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Confidence using systems, data and structured processes.
  • A supportive, calm and coaching leadership style.
  • A strong understanding of trauma-informed and therapeutic care practices.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Provide operational oversight of specialist children's homes across the North West region.
  • Lead, support and develop a team of Registered Managers.
  • Ensure the highest standards of care, safeguarding and regulatory compliance across all services.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and achieve the best possible outcomes for young people and local authorities.
  • Manage budgets and ensure effective financial performance across the region.

    Develop and maintain strong relationships with external agencies, professional bodies and stakeholders.
  • Champion a therapeutic, child-centred approach to care, promoting high warmth and high control practices.
  • Support services with challenging placements and drive positive change and service development.
  • Monitor performance, quality standards and compliance to ensure outstanding service delivery.
