Location: Stoke-On-Trent
A well-established chemical manufacturing business is seeking an electrically biased Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join its engineering team in Tameside. This is a permanent opportunity offering stability, a strong salary package, and the chance to work within a process-driven production environment.
The Role Working on a rotating 3-shift pattern (06:00-14:00, 07:00-15:00, 14:00-22:00), you will be responsible for maintaining plant reliability through a combination of preventative and reactive maintenance. You'll play a key role in ensuring production uptime while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
Key Responsibilities Electrical and mechanical maintenance across all plant machinery Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown response Fault-finding on electrical and mechanical systems Identifying and implementing continuous improvements to enhance performance and reliability Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and within required time frames Supporting production teams to minimise downtime Maintaining accurate maintenance records Providing guidance and mentorship to on-site apprentices Requirements Electrically biased Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer Recognised engineering qualification (apprentice trained preferred) Strong electrical fault-finding skills, supported by mechanical knowledge
Experience with in a manufacturing or process environment (chemical advantageous) Competent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment High attention to detail and commitment to quality standards Flexible and adaptable approach to workload What's on Offer Salary: £45,000 Rotating 3-shift pattern (no nights requirement) Long-term, stable employment within a well-established manufacturer Opportunity to work in a supportive engineering team with scope to influence improvements Interested?
