Machine Operative

£12.71 per hour
Monday to Friday - 8:00am to 4:00pm

Stafforce are currently seeking reliable and adaptable Machine Operatives to join our client's team based in Barnsley. This role involves operating a variety of machinery, including sewing machines, alongside supporting general production duties. It is ideal for someone hands‑on, willing to learn, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.

• Operating machinery, including sewing machines, safely and efficiently
• Carrying out a range of general production and operational duties as required
• Assisting with the setup and running of machines
• Performing basic quality checks on finished products
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with company procedures
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
• Supporting the wider team with day‑to‑day operational tasks

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred but not essential
• Comfortable working with machinery or willing to be trained
• Good attention to detail and ability to produce consistent, high‑quality work
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment
• Reliable, flexible, and a good team player
• Full UK driving licence
• FLT (Forklift Truck) experience or licence
• Willingness to undertake training, including FLT if required
• Full training provided, including machine operation
• Opportunity to develop new skills and gain certifications
