Hours: 7:30 – 17:00, Monday to Friday

As a Workshop Operative, you will work within a busy workshop environment to maintain, service and repair Conquip OEM equipment efficiently. You will be instrumental in upholding safety, quality and operational standards across our hire fleet.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out repairs, servicing and setup of Conquip OEM equipment, primarily non-mechanical plant and machinery
- Undertake basic MIG welding tasks as required
- Spray paint equipment when necessary
- Complete computer-based tasks including certification and documentation
- Follow daily work schedules set by your line manager
- Operate counterbalance forklifts and overhead cranes safely and efficiently
- Conduct thorough inspections of lifting equipment and sign off in accordance with LOLER regulations
- Maintain a professional and courteous approach when liaising with colleagues and site personnel
- Adopt a flexible attitude towards working hours when required
- Support the wider team with additional tasks as needed
- Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities
- Good planning and organisational skills
- Welding Experience
- Forklift experience (Can be Trained)
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Clear and effective communication skills
- Proactive, can-do attitude with strong problem-solving capabilities
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
