We offer an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and ambitious Children's Nurse to join our Paediatric Endocrine Team in a supported developmental role, progressing from Band 6 to Band 7 Nurse Specialist.
If you are passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people with long-term conditions and want to develop into an expert autonomous practitioner, we want to hear from you.
Main duties of the jobThe children's endocrine nurse specialist will work as part of the multidisciplinary team, providing specialist nursing skills, knowledge and expertise for children with endocrine conditions and their families.
Act as a resource and support to primary care teams, including school nurses and health visitors.
Promote an innovative and progressive attitude to the continual improvement of care for children with endocrine conditions by participating in clinical audit and attending workshops and study days appropriate to this field of practice.

Person Specification Qualifications- Registered Children's Nurse with current NMC registration
- Educated to degree level
- Experience in paediatric endocrinology
- Ability to prioritise workload in response to service need
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Experience of delivering training programmes and presentations to various levels of staff
- Ability to work as part of a team
