Children's Endocrine Nurse Specialist – Band 6

Salary £39,959 – £48,117 per annum (pro rata) – closing 09/07/2026 23:59.

Job Overview

Are you ready to take the next step in your paediatric nursing career? We are offering an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and ambitious Children’s Nurse to join our Paediatric Endocrine Team. The role offers a supported developmental progression from Band 6 to Band 7 Nurse Specialist.

Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing specialist nursing skills and expertise for children with endocrine conditions and their families.
  • Act as a resource and support to primary care teams (school nurses and health visitors).
  • Promote an innovative and progressive attitude to the continuous improvement of care by participating in clinical audit and attending workshops and study days relevant to the field.
Qualifications
  • Registered Children's Nurse with current NMC registration.
  • Educated to degree level.
  • Experience in paediatric endocrinology.
Knowledge, Skills, Training and Experience
  • Ability to prioritise workload in response to service need.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Experience delivering training programmes and presentations to various levels of staff.
Personal Qualities
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Professional conduct.
