Senior Clinical Staff Nurse role in a 28-bedded acute stroke unit, providing high-quality stroke care including post-thrombolysis and post-thrombectomy care.

• Deliver high-quality care to stroke patients and their families, working effectively within a dynamic ward environment.
• Participate in competency-based training to join the Stroke Emergency Assessment Team, initiating and coordinating stroke emergency pathways alongside the medical team.
• Provide timely and expert assessments of patients presenting with stroke symptoms.

• Degree level study or diploma in nursing.
• Attendance or completion of stroke-specific training.
• Competence/training in stroke-specific outcome measures.
• Experience with in the NHS.
• Experience in a neurological speciality as a qualified nurse.
• Minimum of 1 year of management/leadership experience.
• Minimum of 3 years post-registration experience.
• Exposure to the Stroke Emergency Assessment Team.
• Experience in hyper-acute stroke care.
