Hospital Porter (Bank) – Nuffield Health North Staffordshire Hospital

Ad hoc | Part time • £12.84 per hour.

We are looking for a Hospital Porter to support our theatre team at the North Staffordshire Hospital. The role involves assisting patients before and after surgery and maintaining a clean, safe environment.

• Work with a close-knit professional team.
• Collect patients and return them to their individual rooms before and after surgery.
• Assist in maintaining a fully functioning theatre environment and equipment.
• Help clean theatre rooms and equipment.
• Work efficiently in a fast‑moving clinical environment.
• Maintain constant and effective communication with the theatre team.

• Good with people and a good communicator.
• Comfortable with physical work such as pushing beds and lifting heavy equipment.
• Willing to undergo Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks.

The role is on the bank: you will not be contracted to a set number of hours per week but will work on an ad‑hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and your availability.
