Ward 124 are looking for an enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join our Renal Team, this includes newly qualified nurses. You will be supported in developing into an experienced renal nurse including the care of renal transplant patients, chronic kidney disease patients, acute kidney injury and dialysis patients. You will be given dedicated time to gain competency in both forms of dialysis (haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis) within the first year of working on Ward 124.
Mainduties of the job
- Acute nursing care for unwell patients
- Monitoring a patients vital observations in a timely manner
- Ability to upscale any concerns
- Medication administration
- Accurate documentation recording
- Accountability
- Prioritising workload
- Gold standard of care for each individual patient
- Haemodialysis competency
- Peritoneal dialysis competency
- Gain knowledge of renal patients and their needs
- Venepuncture/ Cannulation
- Adhering to the infection prevention policy
