• This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced vet to take that next step and assist the practice owners in leading the other vets
• You will join our fantastic practice which has relocated to a new location allowing it to double in size offering fantastic facilities including a CT scanner rehabilitation centre with hydrotherapy and physiotherapy
• This is ideally full time but if you are looking for part time or a more flexible option please do get in touch as we are happy to discuss this
• This will include 1 in 4 Saturdays – 9am till 12pm
• Your development will be highly encouraged with CPD and certificates supported
• No OOH, Sundays or Bank holidays!
• Fantastic pay up to £65,000 depending on your experience

At Longton Vets For Pets, we pride ourselves on delivering outstanding veterinary care within a friendly, professional environment. Our modern, well‑equipped practice includes digital radiography, ultrasound, in‑house laboratory facilities, and dedicated surgical and dental suites. We have a CT scanner and take external referrals for this. Our team is complimented by our own physiotherapist who runs our rehabilitation department, which includes an underwater treadmill.

You’ll be supported by an experienced nursing team and approachable management who encourage open communication and continuous improvement.

• Salary up to £65,000, commensurate with experience
• Flexible working options – full or part time hours considered
• No out‑of‑hours or on‑call duties
• Protected time for case follow‑ups or phone calls

• Generous CPD allowance with certificate study encouraged and supported by someone who has already done one!
• Paid professional memberships (RCVS, VDS, and one other of your choice)
• A positive, collaborative working environment. We back each other in consults, celebrate the wins and eat cake when we have had a tough day (or any day really!)

• A confident veterinary surgeon with at least 5 years’ experience in both consultations and routine surgery
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A commitment to excellent patient care and client service
