Salary up to £65,000 DOE plus up to £5,000 Welcome Bonus

Overview

We are seeking a Veterinary Surgeon for an award‑winning practice in Biddulph, Staffordshire. The role offers 20‑40 hours per week with flexible patterns, and no OOH, night checks, Sundays or bank holidays.

Hours of Work

Working 20‑40 hours a week over 2 to 5 days. No OOH, 1 Saturday in 3 or 6 (8 am‑1 pm). Salary £40‑65k (based on 40‑hr FTE). The position can be tailored to 20‑37.5 hours in various patterns (full days, short days, split shifts, early or late starts). Consulting only is welcome.

Appointments are 20 minutes standard, 40 minutes for euthanasia/complex issues. We aim to finish on time, and any overtime is made up.

About the workplace

Dedicated clinical office, 8 consulting rooms, euthanasia room, cat‑only waiting and ward (Cat friendly silver status), 2 full theatres, dental theatre and a large training room. Staff facilities include 2 staff rooms, outside area, pool table, massage chair, espresso machine, hot chocolate machine and toastie maker. Staff showers are available.

Experience
