Head Veterinary Surgeon – Staffordshire – NO weekends

My client based between Stoke and Congleton is seeking a Head Veterinary Surgeon to join its friendly and established practice following a recent leadership change. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon looking to take on a leadership position with genuine clinical freedom, while enjoying the support of the team of experienced colleagues.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape the future of the practice, develop its client base and caseload, and provide clinical leadership to a dedicated team. Working alongside a Practice Manager, Registered Veterinary Nurse, Head Veterinary Nurse, Veterinary Care Assistant, and Client Care Assistant.

This full-time role is based on a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 6:00pm, with no weekends or out-of-hours, offering an excellent work-life balance.

The practice is equipped with digital radiography, dental x-ray, ultrasound, and an in-house laboratory, with access to advanced diagnostics such as CT and endoscopy. This provides excellent support for managing both routine and more complex cases.

The position would suit a confident Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys taking ownership of a practice, leading a team, and delivering high standards of clinical care. For those with long-term ambitions, there is also the opportunity to progress towards partnership.
