Quality Engineering
Ensure the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of drives and controls equipment through fault diagnostics, refurbishments, and testing.
Provide innovative, forward-thinking suggestions to ensure that Fletcher Moorland remains a leader in the repair industry.
Provide onsite support to customers.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnostics and Fault-Finding
- Carry out assessments and interpret technical documents.
- Repair and Refurbishment
- Perform repairs and refurbishments to Fletcher Moorland and or manufacturer procedures.
- Testing and Quality Assurance
- Conduct post-repair tests and verify quality.
- Documentation and Reporting
Record diagnostics, work carried out, labour and spares accurately via Fletcher Moorland’s business operating system (BOS).
Site SupportAttend site to provide support to customers, investigate failures and possibly remove equipment for return to workshop repair.
Fletcher Moorland Support- Provide technical advice and updates when needed.
- Work closely with engineers, colleagues, and management to meet project deadlines and quality expectations.
- Contribute ideas to improve processes, increase efficiency, and enhance the quality of repairs.
- Health and Safety Compliance
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean workspace.
- Preventative Maintenance
- Support maintenance schedules and suggest improvements.
- Experience in drives and controls equipment diagnostics and repair.
- Strong understanding of electronic systems.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Technical certification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, HND).
- Knowledge of OEM standards and PLC programming.
- High attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Proactive and results oriented.
- Ability to work independently.
Workshop and on-site environments, depending on operations. Exposure to electrical systems requires adherence to safety protocols.
Adherence to safety protocols, including PPE requirements (e.g., gloves, safety glasses, and ear protection).
