Want to teach AI how to do science?
We’re partnering with one of the fastest-growing companies at the intersection of AI and biology. They build the scientific benchmarks frontier AI labs and pharma use to test whether AI agents can really reason like expert scientists.
Headcount has grown roughly tenfold this year, and they’re now hiring a large cohort of AI Biologists heading into 2027.
The roleYou’ll be the scientific authority on ground truth. Working with software engineers and fellow scientists, you’ll turn real research data into benchmark tasks. You’ll write the gold-standard answers an expert would defend, then interrogate AI agents step by step. Your job is to find where they get it right, where they fail, and why, and to catch conclusions that sound right but wouldn’t survive lab meeting or peer review.
Teams hiring across:- Proteomics and mass spectrometry (lipidomics and metabolomics a plus)
- Microscopy and bioimage analysis
- Biologics and antibody development
- Metagenomics and microbiome
- PhD in a biological or biomedical science, or a closely related field (MSc considered for metagenomics)
- Hands-on experience analysing your own data in one of the areas above, ideally including time in industry (biotech, pharma, techbio)
- AI-native: you use Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or similar tools every day, and you know when a model’s answer is technically correct but scientifically wrong
- Confident analysing data in Python or R
- High agency: you figure things out, move fast and own problems end to end
- Full-time, long-term contract, fully remote, flexible hours
- Fast process: screening, a short take-home, and a final conversation, usually within a week
