Domestic Assistant

We're looking for a Domestic Assistant to join our Sodexo team at CDC Hanley. In this vital role, you'll help create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Your work will directly support health and wellbeing throughout the hospital. • Maintain patient and visitor privacy, dignity, and confidentiality
• Deliver cleaning services in line with Trust/Sodexo policies and procedures
• Use, store, and maintain cleaning equipment and chemicals safely (COSHH)
• Ensure adequate stock of cleaning materials and equipment
• Report equipment faults, hazards, and near‑miss incidents
• Participate in audits, surveys, and mandatory training (including infection control)
• Work safely in environments with dirt, smells, bodily fluids and occasional verbal aggression
• Support safeguarding responsibilities and comply with health and safety regulations
• Physical capability to carry out cleaning duties across various hospital areas
• Emotional Resilience
• Be flexible in their approach, willing to "go the extra mile" to ensure patient care and CDC standards are maintained at all times
• Understanding of Customer Care
• Ability to listen and have good communication skills
