We’re looking for an Assistant Sales Managerto be part of the growth plans at our busy store in Stoke Fenton.

Working with your store manager to drive the team to deliver exceptional customer service, whilst delivering business growth to your store along with a hands-on management approach. You will also be required to maximise sales by consistently delivering excellent store standards. This role requires a flexible approach, as you will be required to work weekends and some late nights.

About You
  • Ability to deputise for the store manager in their absence
  • Able to deliver great service, with a positive can-do attitude
  • Prepared to work hard, support and develop your team.
  • A great communicator that demonstrates leadership skills with strong organisational skills.
  • Have hands on sales experience (in flooring, furniture, bed, kitchen or bathrooms would be a bonus)
  • Driving licence preferred not essential
Responsibilities
  • In this role you will be a key member of the store management team and will report to the Store Manager
  • Ensure retail teams work together, are fully competent in their roles, are regularly assessed, and monitor performances.
  • Contribute to the store’s KPI’s and exceed sales targets
  • You will lead by example and inspire our retail colleagues to maximise sales and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Assist the store manager with planning and optimising staffing levels, factoring in days off and holidays.
  • Ensure premises are maintained to a good standard and all defects are reported.
  • Maintain sufficient and accurate stock levels and records, and check all the ticket, point of sale and instore graphics are displayed correctly and the store is clean, tidy and presentable.
