M&E Sales Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Assist with the sales planning of who to target as attendees at each event
• Outreach activity to local businesses and organisations including business parks, retail parks, schools, colleges and sports clubs etc
• In reach promotional activity within the hotel to create interest and secure new bookings eg leisure club member activity plans, lobby hosting etc
• Proactive telephone calls to both past and potential new customers to secure bookings and answer any queries that they may have
• Upsell telephone calls to guests staying over the Christmas period
• Assisting with the coordination of events including chasing payments, menu & drinks choices and dealing with any special requests
• Learning to use the booking systems and updating this with the relevant information in an accurate and timely manner into Sales System
• Research and action exposure on local organisations intranets/ social media and promotional forums
• Updating Sales System with daily figures inputting new ticket sales and reconciling payments
• Chasing final balance payments

• Have an outgoing, personable character
• Be target focussed
• Be flexible to work evenings and weekends as required
• Have great attention to detail
• Be confident on the telephone and face to face with clients
• Have knowledge of social media
• Have good written English
• Have experience of customer service (does not need to be hospitality)

Hours per week : 37.5hrs
