Job Details
Contract Type: Permanent / 37.5 hours per week
Salary: Circa £27,000 per annum
Bonus: Quarterly bonus paid after probation if KPIs are achieved
Days of Work: Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm and 9:30 - 5:30
Location: Etruria, Stoke ST1 5SY
Position OverviewAs the Indoor Account Manager, you will proactively manage an existing customer base of around 800 customers, each spending up to £700 per week with DPD. You will build strong relationships, retain loyalty, and develop each account through sales and high‑level service.
Key Responsibilities- Contact customers using various communication methods in line with the contact matrix
- Develop account plans to support revenue and contribution targets
- Maintain and update information via Salesforce and other systems
- Develop multi‑functional, multi‑level business relationships with customers’ organisations
- Identify and develop additional revenue opportunities within the portfolio
- Maintain an up‑to‑date revenue opportunity pipeline
- Monitor profitability and profile of each customer to ensure acceptable trading levels
- Identify and manage resolution of customer problems for long‑term retention
Maintain planned revenue/contribution improvement through timely rate renewals - Complete annual price increases for all accounts in your portfolio
- Work with sales teams to accept accounts for handover in line with company policies and trading agreements
- Experience in Account Management / Customer Relationship Management
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, adept at phone and email interactions
- Strong mathematical skills for pricing and costing (advantageous)
- Decisive, effective decision‑making in a time‑pressured environment
- Problem‑solving orientation, resilience, self‑motivation, flexibility
- Experience in sales and upselling to existing customers
- Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- IT literate, proficient in Microsoft Office/Google Suite;
Salesforce experience advantageous - Ability to liaise with customers via telephone, online meeting resources and email
