CCTV Control Room Operator

Job Overview

Equans is looking for a CCTV Control Room Operator to join our team at the National Operations Centre, Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire (ST4 1AY
) on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. This is a full‑time role, 42 hours per week, with an annual salary of £29,455.58 and benefits package.

24/7 shift pattern – 4 days 0700‑1900, 4 days off, 4 nights 1900‑0700, 4 days off.

• Perform a key role in all aspects of the National Operations Centre, managing site alarm activations, including CCTV verification and facilitate appropriate escalation.

• Respond appropriately to requests through the Facilities Management Helpdesk and QSE Incident Reporting Hotline.

• Previous experience within a Control Room, Service Desk or other high call volume environment or experience of working within a customer‑focused environment.
• Maths and English GCSE Grade C and above.
• Excellent working knowledge of IT, experience with Microsoft Office 365 package including Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, Excel & Word.
• Experience of contributing to incident management / command and control operations.
• Previous security or service desk experience and experience/training in fire safety and first aid.
• Previous CCTV & access control knowledge and an understanding of CCTV operations and equipment.
• Excellent communication skills, high standards of written and spoken English, ability to maintain accurate incident logs and gather evidential information.
• SIA licensed for Public Space Surveillance (PSS CCTV operations) or willingness to be trained to achieve SIA licence requirements.
