After a period of rapid growth, we are now looking for a talented Electrical Engineer to join our upward journey.
Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, excellent problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The purpose of the Electrical Engineer is to provide reactive and planned preventative maintenance for building engineering systems and services.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain low voltage (LV) electrical systems and perform PPM routines.
- Repair and maintain electrical equipment and fixtures.
- Perform EICR testing.
- Ensure compliance with BS7671 wiring regulations.
- Liaise with helpdesk for task responses.
- Maintain site logbooks, compliance certification, and produce reports.
- Participate in emergency call‑out services.
- Emergency lighting testing and light fitting replacement, including safe isolation.
- City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation.
- City and Guilds Level 3 certificate in the requirements for electrical installations BS 7671 (18th Edition).
- City & Guilds 2391 inspection & testing.
- Driver’s licence (no more than 6 points).
- Ability to pass an enhanced DBS check.
- IPAF & PASMA (desirable but not essential).
- Competitive basic salary.
- £155 a week stand‑by rate.
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
- Company van with private usage option.
- Fuel card.
- Travel time paid door‑to‑door.
- Overtime paid at time and a half.
- Uniform & PPE.
- Pension.
- Working hours Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm.
- Specialist tools provided (hand tools to be provided by engineer).
- Death in service after 2 years employed.
