Yard Operative - Stoke

Pickerings is seeking a skilled Yard Operative to join our operations team at the Depot in Stoke.

• 45 hours per week, 7:00 am – 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday
• Overtime paid at one and a half times the basic hourly rate
• Competitive hourly rate of £14.95
• Based at the Pickerings depot in Stoke

As part of the depot’s operations team, you’ll be responsible for preparing our range of buildings for delivery.

• Ensure each building is cleaned and furnished to a high standard.
• Perform minor repairs to walls and doors, and replace plumbing and electrical fixtures and fittings.
• Prepare external walls in readiness for painting.

• Practical experience in industrial trades such as joinery, plumbing, or electrical work gained from construction or property maintenance.
• Preferably have experience in the temporary or modular building industry.
• Strong commitment to meeting deadlines while maintaining safety and quality standards.
• Ability to work effectively with colleagues.
• Physical stamina – work is demanding and outdoors, requiring tolerance of extreme weather.
