Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician – Dematic, Stoke‑On‑Trent, UK

We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to support a resident site contract by maintaining key values of the business.

• Carry out AMHE equipment servicing in accordance with quality standards and time schedules as set out in the equipment manuals.
• Undertake scheduled repairs in accordance with manufacturers’ recommendations and industry standard practices.
• Diagnose mechanical / electrical / electronic / PLC / PC faults and perform subsequent repairs.
• Prioritise system faults.
• Comply with Health & Safety legislation at all times.
• Ensure quality of output at all times.
• Accurately record all work undertaken.
• Involve in continuous improvement and sales opportunities.
• Maintain product flow at all times.
• Ensure on‑site spares are kept to optimum levels.
• Represent the company in a professional manner at all times and maintain customer relations.
• Adhere to the quality processes and procedures as set out by the company.

• ONC or equivalent in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering (electrical preferred).
• Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship (preferred).
• A working understanding of mechanical, electrical & electronic technical manuals & drawings.
• Basic understanding of control systems and techniques.
• Basic understanding of PLC equipment.
• Working at height.
• Previous experience working with various conveyor systems.
• PC literacy.
• Understanding of pre‑preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules.

• Ability to learn and retain technical information.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and instructions.
• Logical approach to fault finding and resolution.
• Operate within a designed structure of pre‑planned maintenance.
