Family Worker

Job Summary

As a Family Worker you will provide support and advice to families affected by substance misuse, offer family‑focused interventions, develop strong relationships, manage an active caseload and ensure continuity of care. This full‑time fixed‑term role runs until April 2027 in Stoke‑on‑Trent.

• Provide family‑focused interventions to reduce the impact of substance misuse on families, especially children and young people.
• Work with clients and other social care services to produce individual care plans and identify support needed.
• Build and maintain effective, professional relationships with families and peers.
• Manage your own caseload, prioritise tasks, protect client confidentiality and safeguard vulnerable people.
• Safeguard children, young people and adults who are at risk.
• Support colleagues across With You locations and be flexible with working hours.

• Experience of working in a health, social care, family or related setting in the community.
• Knowledge and understanding of evidence‑based interventions for substance misuse.
• Excellent communication, time‑management and organisational skills.
• Resilience under pressure and ability to prioritise work.
• Full driving licence and vehicle access for travel within the city.
• Previous practical or volunteering experience with people who misuse substances is an advantage.

Hampshire, Stoke‑on‑Trent. Role is full‑time, fixed‑term until 22 April 2027. Benefitting from flexible working arrangements on occasion.
