At Rehoboth, we are committed to aiding the community of Stoke-on-Trent. As a charitable organisation, we rely on the generosity of our volunteers to support our work and provide essential services to those in need. We are currently seeking a Volunteer Driver’s Assistant to assist our drivers with daily transportation duties.

Role Overview :

The Volunteer Driver’s Assistant will support the driver in the delivery and collection of goods, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and safe transportation of items while also providing a friendly and professional service to our beneficiaries. You need to be over 18 for this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the driver in loading and unloading goods, ensuring they are safely and securely packed for transport.

  • Accompany the driver on deliveries and collections to various locations (residential, community centers, etc.).

  • Provide excellent customer service when interacting with recipients of goods.

  • Help with sorting and preparing items for delivery at the charity’s premises.

  • A positive and friendly attitude, with excellent communication skills.

  • Physically able to lift and carry items (may involve heavy lifting).

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work efficiently as part of a team.

  • Willingness to assist with various tasks as required.

  • A genuine interest in supporting the charity’s work and making a difference.
