Class 1 HGV Driver – Customer 1st Logistics Summary of the role

Customer 1st Logistics is seeking a professional, safety-focused Class 1 (C+E) HGV Driver to support our growing operation. This is a full‑time position working 48 hours per week with regular nights out. The role involves delivering goods to a range of customers while representing our company to the highest standard. You will be trusted with your own dedicated truck and will play a key part in helping a rapidly expanding business build a strong reputation for reliability, professionalism, and customer service.

Success means operating safely, compliantly, and efficiently every day; completing deliveries on time; maintaining your vehicle to a high standard; and building positive relationships with customers and site teams. You will be a dependable member of the driving team who takes pride in their work, follows procedures, and contributes to the continued growth and reputation of Customer 1st Logistics.

As a Class 1 driver, you are central to our business. You are the face of Customer 1st Logistics on the road and at customer sites, ensuring our service promise is delivered in practice. Your performance directly supports our expansion, customer satisfaction, and long‑term success as a modern, driver‑focused transport company.

• Operate a Class 1 vehicle safely and in full compliance with all UK road transport legislation and company policies.
• Complete daily walk around checks and accurately record them using the company mobile application.
• Ensure all loads are secure, legally compliant, and appropriately restrained before departure and throughout each journey.
• Deliver goods to customer sites on time while maintaining a professional and courteous manner at all times.
• Communicate effectively with transport management regarding delays, issues, or potential problems.
• Keep the allocated vehicle clean, tidy, and in good condition, reporting any defects immediately.
• Follow all site rules and health and safety requirements when loading and unloading.
• Take responsibility for personal safety and the safety of others while working on the road and at delivery locations.

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
• Up‑to‑date Driver CPC
• Digital Tachograph card
• Willingness to undertake regular nights out
• Strong commitment to safety and professionalism

• Experience operating a Moffett (training can be provided for the right candidate)
• Previous experience in general haulage or multi‑drop work
