Job Description:

We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver for a temp-perm opportunity in Stoke.

• 1 year experience required
• Mon-Fri (occasional weekends)
• Day shifts (42.5 hours minimum)
• 13.45p/h Mon-Fri (overtime higher for Mon-Fri + weekends)
• Full-time position

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring all safety checks are completed thoroughly.
• Secure cargo properly, adhering to safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with legal requirements.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery times and any potential delays.
• Adhere strictly to all road safety laws, traffic regulations, and company policies during driving operations.
• Report any vehicle issues or accidents promptly to ensure swift resolution and compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven 1 year experience as a HGV Class 2 driver
• Demonstrable knowledge of driving regulations and safety standards within the UK.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan routes effectively.
• Strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service excellence.
