Location: Stoke-on-Trent

Job Description:

We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver for a temp-perm opportunity in Stoke.

* 1 year experience required

* Mon-Fri (occasional weekends)

* Day shifts (42.5 hours minimum)

 * £13.45p/h Mon-Fri (overtime higher for Mon-Fri + weekends)

* Full-time position

Responsibilities

* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring all safety checks are completed thoroughly.

* Secure cargo properly, adhering to safety regulations and company policies.

* Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with legal requirements.

* Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery times and any potential delays.

* Adhere strictly to all road safety laws, traffic regulations, and company policies during driving operations.

* Report any vehicle issues or accidents promptly to ensure swift resolution and compliance.

Qualifications

* Proven 1 year experience as a HGV Class 2 driver

* Demonstrable knowledge of driving regulations and safety standards within the UK.

* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan routes effectively.

* Strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service excellence.
