Responsibilities
You'll be responsible for making multi-drop deliveries of chilled and frozen goods as well as ambient to stores nationwide, ensuring all products are delivered safely and on time. You will maintain excellent customer service and vehicle standards, handling average 5‑10 drops per day using roll cages and tail lift unloading. Shifts start between 04:00 and 06:00 am and typically last around 12 hours, with a bi‑weekly rota including one weekend day every other week or ad‑hoc shifts.
RequirementsValid Class 1 or Class 2 licence, CPC and Digi card are required. Newly passed HGV drivers are welcome; no prior experience is required. Successful candidates will complete an assessment (driving, theory, drugs and alcohol test), induction and buddy days. Good communication and customer service skills are preferred, as well as flexibility across different days and start times.
Pay and BenefitsBasic rate £17.65 ph. Weekend rate £19.77 ph. Overtime rate after 48 h £24.36 ph.
