HGV Class 1 Drivers

HGV Class 1 Drivers are sought by Pertemps Stoke on Trent to operate from their Hanley site, delivering timber products nationwide. This temporary role offers full-time or part-time hours across AM and PM shifts, paying between £17.69 and £19.54 per hour. Drivers will handle curtain-sided vehicles, secure loads following safety protocols, perform daily inspections, and uphold compliance with transport regulations. Applicants need a CE entitlement, valid Digi Card, CPC qualification, a full UK licence held for two years, and no more than six penalty points.

Immediate assessment slots are available for suitable candidates, with customer service and efficient delivery completion forming core duties.

HGV Drivers Our prestigious client is currently looking for HGV 1 / LGV 1 / C+E / Class 1 Drivers to work at their site in Stoke on Trent, you will be responsible for:

• Delivering timber products to customers across the UK
• Strapping and securing the load using correct health and safety procedures.
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and ensuring compliance with transport regulations
• Driving Class 1 curtain-sided vehicles
• Completing deliveries efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service
• AM & PM Shifts available

To be considered for this HGV 1 / LGV 1 / C+E / Class 1 Drivers role you will need:

• CE Entitlement
• Digi Card & CPC
• Full UK Driving Licence Held
• Class 1 licence for 2 years
• No more than 6 points

Days - £17.69PH Nights - £19.54PH Day Driver shifts are Monday – Friday, with start times between 0400 – 0600 Night Driver shifts are Sunday – Thursday, with start times between 1600 - 1800
