Pay Rates

Standard PAYE Rates
Monday to Friday:  £18.00 per hour
Saturday:  £19.00 per hour
Sunday / Bank Holiday:  £20.00 per hour
PAYE with Rolled-Up Holiday Pay
Monday to Friday:  £20.17 per hour
Saturday:  £21.29 per hour
Sunday / Bank Holiday:  £22.41 per hour
Rolled-up holiday pay is available as an option for this vacancy.

About the Role

Pure Staff are currently recruiting for a  Class 1 Night Driver  on behalf of a well-established distribution business based in the Stoke-on-Trent area. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional  Class 1 Night Driver  seeking ongoing, long-term work with a reputable employer that values its drivers and offers genuine opportunities for permanent employment.
The successful  Class 1 Night Driver  will be working within the logistics and distribution industry, delivering goods to businesses throughout the region while maintaining high standards of customer service and compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities

Complete deliveries to business customers across the region
Carry out between 1 and 3 drops per shift
Safely operate a Class 1 vehicle in line with all regulations
Assist with unloading and handball duties where required
Complete delivery paperwork accurately using an electronic POD device
Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects
Ensure all deliveries are completed safely and efficiently
Maintain excellent levels of customer service at delivery locations

Shift Pattern

Predominantly Monday to Friday work
Ongoing, long-term assignments available
Flexible start times available between 4am and 6am
Shift lengths typically between 8 and 12 hours
Weekend shifts may be available
Regular work with consistent scheduling

Requirements

Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) Driving Licence
Valid Driver CPC qualification
Digital Tachograph Card
Good understanding of drivers' hours and working time regulations
Ability to complete paperwork accurately
Comfortable carrying out manual handling and unloading duties when required
Reliable and professional approach to work
